As more endorsements from different interest groups and supporters across the state continue to gather momentum for Peter Mbah’s governorship aspiration ahead of the 2023 general elections in the country, the people of Enugu State have been assured of the capacity and competence of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Peter Mbah to alter the trajectory of development in the state if elected governor by the electorate.
The assurance was given on Tuesday at the PDP campaign office in Enugu by the Director General of Peter Mbah and PDP Campaign Organization, Chief Ikeje Asogwa while receiving different support groups who had visited to pledge their support and readiness to work for the emergence of the PDP gubernatorial flagbearer as the next governor of the state in the general elections.
Asogwa who told the cheering crowds that it was only a matter of time and the state would witness unprecedented transformation that had never been seen in the history of the state further maintained that Mbah would build on the good governance and legacy projects of the present administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

While insisting that he could stake anything to vouch for the staunch commitment and resolve of the governorship frontrunner to change the narration in the state by writing a new history where everyone will fulfill their potential, Asogwa said he should be held responsible for the promises as he believed that the people would soon have reasons to celebrate.
“I want to assure you that very soon, you’re going to see a greater Enugu State. I’m giving you this assurance because I have unflinching and unswerving confidence in our candidate’s character, competence, capacity, capability and commitment to give us a new Enugu State in terms of infrastructure, empowerment, job creation, and strong economy.

“Dr. Peter Mbah is going to take this state to a greater height. Watch and see the transformation take place in a matter of time. Everyone will be happy that Mbah is the right candidate for the job,” Asogwa assured.
While inviting the members of the support groups to the unveiling of Mbah’s manifesto on Thursday at Godfrey Okoye University, Asogwa charged the groups to put on their thinking cap by embarking on massive mobilisation of voters for the candidate and the party.
He said: “On 13th of this month is the official unveiling of our candidate’s manifesto at Godfrey Okoye University at 11am. You’re all invited to hear his remarkable plans for the state. You must be there to hear him speak so that you can take the message to your various homes, local government areas, villages, communities and friends and tell them the good things about our candidate. Your presence will afford you the opportunity to hear from him directly and answer any question put across to you about his candidacy.”

The former State PDP Chairman further charged the people to move to the field after the unveiling of the manifesto, saying “Our business is not the business of office. Our job is in the field and very soon, we will be departing for the field where the real work is. This is why we need to make sure our parents, siblings, friends and neighbors have their voter’s cards and they should know that PDP is the only way to go.”
While receiving award from a United States body, Encyclotainment LLC USA as the ‘Politician of the Year 2022” in its 15th Edition of Southern Entertainment, the PDP chieftain gave the assurance that the next government will be an inclusive one run on the platform of equity, justice and fairness, adding that the recognition by the prestigious body would spur him to do more in terms of selfless service to humanity.
Speaking earlier on why they visited the DG, some of the support groups said they were motivated by the unquestionable background of the governorship candidate in both the private and public sectors, stressing that Mbah is the only gubernatorial candidate with adequate preparation to lead the state to enviable height.
An interest group, Enugu West Administrators led their coordinator, Barr. Dilibe Chuma said they visited to congratulate the DG for his meritorious and deserved appointment to lead the onerous task ahead and to inform the campaign organization that they were solidly behind the project.
Similarly, the Golden Ladies of Enugu State led by Hon. Princess Nneka Edith re-echoed their commitment to mobilize women across the state to vote massively for the PDP and its candidates in the poll.
On their part, a colorful support group, Enugu State Girls’ Movement told the DG they were enthusiastic about the project and wanted to key into the campaign programme.
According to the group, they had their legs to walk the talk and their permanent voter’s cards to deliver bloc votes for the PDP gubernatorial standard bearer.
Speaking on why they picked interest in the project, the group said their encounter with Mbah had a lasting positive impact on the way they think, insisting that Mbah has redefined their perception about life.

In a related development, the Hausa Community in Enugu State led by their spokesperson, Hon. Abubakar Mohammed extolled the virtues of the DG for his appointment, saying the appointment didn’t come to them as surprise because of his political experience over the past years.
“You’ve been very good to the people, especially the non-indigenes and the Hausa Community. You’ve been supportive to us. We have a large number of Hausa Community across the state and we’ve decided to vote here, and our votes will be going to Barr. Peter Mbah,” he added.
