Anglican Primate Ndukuba cautions against electoral fraud, commissions road project in Enugu

The Primate of the Anglican Church, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, has cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against electoral fraud, saying the next month’s general election in the country is crucial to Nigerians.
Most Rev. Ndukuba gave the advice after a Thanksgiving Service in commemoration of Professor Chinedu Nebo’s 70th birthday/retirement held on Sunday at Cathedral Church of St. Cyprian, Abakpa-Nike, Enugu.
Professor Nebo was former Vice Chancellor of University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and Federal University, Oye Ekiti as well as Minister of Power in then Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
The service was used also to inaugurate one kilometer road leading to the Cathedral Church built by an oil magnet and philanthropist, Prince Arthur Eze,
Ndukuba also said that INEC should ensure that the “new dawn” and “new Nigeria” most Nigerians yearn for would not be truncated.
The Cleric further called on Nigerians to use their Permanent Voters Cards to effect the needed positive charge they desire.
His words: “Nigerians should get ready: no body should be sleeping when action is needed. It is not enough to keep complaining; whereas you ought part of the solution.
“The general elections provide an excellent opportunity to elect credible, sound and god-fearing leaders that will make the desired change,” he said.
On Nebo, who is also a Venerable and Provost of Cathedral Church of St. Cyprian, as he clocks 70: the Cleric noted that he had served both God, the Church and society in an exemplary manner.
According to him, “Nebo has stood out as a man that truly loves and follows God Almighty in all sincerity.
“Nebo served as Minister, Vice-Chancellor in two major Federal universities and the Church without blemish.
“People should emulate this great man of God, who loves humanity and progressive growth of others,” he said.
The Thanksgiving service was attended by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and top government functionaries.
Other top dignitaries included: Prince Arthur Eze, Archbishops, Bishops and clergy of the Anglican Church the South-East geo-political zone and beyond.
