The Labour Party Governorship candidate in Enugu State, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga has said if eventually elected, his administration will replicate what former Governor Sullivan Chime did in terms of providing dividends of democracy to the people in addition to other life touching programmes that will return Enugu state to it’s glorious past.
Edeoga gave this hints while briefing some members of his support groups on the authenticity of his person as the labour party governorship candidate having been issued with certificate of recognition of the party among other proofs.
He decried the poor state of infrastructures currently being experienced in the state and promised to emulate the style of governance used by ex governor Chime ,which impacted giant developmental strides in Enugu state.
He stated, “Under Sullivan Chime, Enugu was a destination point considering the wonders he carried out in terms of provision of quality infrastructural development that endeared Enugu in the hearts of tourists”.
“My administration will be people oriented through the application of modern leadership technics geared towards making the good people of Enugu State feel like the felt under Sullivan Chime’s administration”.
The Labour Party Governorship candidate said that while his administration will have respect for the past leaders and founding fathers of the state, he will at the same time appreciate quality contribution that will take Enugu to its place of pride.
He commended the support groups for their commitment towards supporting the victory of Labour Party both at the National and state level adding, “You are like the John the Baptist in the Bible who unveiled the good works Christ was coming to carry out to the world by accepting the assignment God gave him to baptize Christ”.
The FirstNews Magazine findings reveals that ahead of the official flag of 2023 campaigns in accordance with the electoral law, several support groups in Enugu state who are volunteering to campaign for the election of Mr Peter Obi as president of Nigeria and Edeoga as the next civilian of Enugu state,has continued to spring up in various parts of Enugu state.
