Senlong noted that Rupetta Academy was the only organisation in the Federal Capital Territory taking part in the GWR FIDE challenge.
“On Saturday, July 20, 2024, a monumental event will unite chess players from every corner of the globe.
“FIDE, in celebration of the International Chess Day and its 100th anniversary, will be organising an unprecedented challenge.
“The challenge involves participants playing the game of chess for a maximum of 8 hours.
“Rupetta Academy is thrilled to announce that we are participating and proud to be the only organisation in Abuja taking part in this incredible challenge.

“Join us as we make history and celebrate the power of chess,” she said.
She explained that players who participate in a minimum of 40 games during the 8-hour period would be eligible for prizes, adding that interested persons should visit rupettaacademykids.com/fide-gwr-2024 for more information.
