GOMBE, Sept. 13, 2025 (NAN) The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Green White Green Sports Centre Ltd., Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe, has suspended all sporting activities under his sponsorship in Gombe State.
The suspension takes effect immediately.
In a statement on Saturday, Gombe said the move was aimed at drawing attention to what he described as widespread corruption in the sports sector.
He said the suspension would remain until all stolen funds and property belonging to Gombe State were recovered.
The Gombe Sporting Football Club, however, is exempted from the suspension.
Gombe said his commitment to promoting accountability and transparency in the state remains firm, despite his removal as Chairman of the State Athletics Association.(NAN)
