Abuja, Nov. 5, 2024 (NAN) The Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) has announced its State League and has called for registrations by affiliated clubs for the inaugural 2024/2025 season.
In a release by board member and head of media, Ralph Chidozie George quoted the joyous Chairman, ‘General’ Chikelue Iloenyosi saying,
“It is with joy that we announce and call for registration from our state clubs for this historic league”
“Our State has not had a league for so many years and we are excited that this is going to happen in our time and before the grand kickoff we will announce a partner and this really gladdens my heart” Iloenyosi said.
The Anambra Football League (AFL) will be a straight league and the number of teams will all be announced immediately after conclusion of registrations.
The registration of teams will commence on Wednesday, 6th November and close on Wednesday 20th December and only affiliated State clubs qualify to register and participate.
The cost of registration is one hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N150,000) excluding affiliation fees.
The league winner will grab a prize of Two Million Naira (N2m) and a ticket to represent the State in the NLO 2 playoffs, the second Placed team will go home with One million Naira (N1m) and third placed team gets five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000).
There will be lots of other benefits as plans are on the way to have different scouts coming in to look for quality players.
“We do our things differently and in grand style, so our league will be professionally organized with lots of fanfare and so I call on all affiliated clubs in the state to rush to the office and register” Iloenyosi urged interested teams.
Referees seminar, Draw and kickoff dates will be announced subsequently.(NAN)
