Abuja, Sept. 11, 2023 (NAN) The 2023 edition of the prestigious Shades Awards of Excellence is scheduled to hold December 2, at the Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA) House, Maitama, Abuja.
Odey sylvanus Williams popularly known as Sly Williams Founder/CEO, Shades Awards noted that the event and awards night is a formal-to-semi-formal event during which trophies are given to honor achievements in different fields.
He said the event would feature performances from top celebrities in the music
industry and appearances from top Nollywood actors.
He added that the social lifestyle event will play host to celebrities, influencers, socialites and also the common man who deserves a shades awards.
“The event will celebrate people across all works of life,
“The essence of life is worth celebrating and as such people naturally would always want to celebrate excellence in several endeavors of life.
“The basic intent of the Shades event is to bring people from different spheres of life to celebrate excellence, enjoy good music, comedy and to relate.
“It is a creative idea that
secures the celebration of excellence amongst young entrepreneurs,” he said
Mr Sylvanus who hails from Mbube
in ogoja local government of Cross River State is a recording and performing artist, song writer and event coordinator.
He has eight (8) years
professional experience in events and show business in prominent places
like, Abuja, Lagos and his hometown Calabar.
He explained that the Shades event was integrated to celebrate hardworking entrepreneurs in
different sphere of businesses, to create a platform for people and brands to relate.
He stressed that the award ceremony aimed at honouring those who may not usually be honored for their accomplishment; so as to make them know that their work is valued.
“The primary objective of the event is to show approval and gratitude for each person’s good job
“We also aim to promote a community of like minds where participants are opened to endless opportunities and possibilities.
“To create profit opportunities for startups with adverts placement and brands positioning,” he said.
The entertainment enthusiast said the top notch event was open for sponsorship and called on all well meaning individuals, philanthropists, private, government as well as corporate bodies to come on board to ensure the event was an outstanding success.
He said some of the benefits which the would-be sponsors will enjoy include; verbal recognition at the event and opportunity to make brief remarks.
