” Due to the crisis in the party at the national level and the state, we decided to move to the APC because everything boils down to delivering of democracy dividends to the people.
” We see that the APC has a very solid foundation and with the caliber of people in the party, we have no option than join forces with them for the benefits of our people.
” The leadership of the party in the state are people who we trust can give our people what they want, ” Abah said.
He assured the leadership of APC that he was going to lead the collapsing of labour party structures in the Enugu North senatorial zone into the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“All we are asking for is a better political and development environment, ” he said.

“We need to form alignment and realignment; we need to negotiate power, and with these caliber of people, men of timber and caliber, our political strategy has changed, ” he said.
Agballah, who is also a Director in the South East Development Commission (SEDC), said that the party needed an alliance with the LP in Enugu State for a stronger opposition to the ruling PDP in the state.
According to him: “I appreciate the decampees from both the PDP and LP; you have made the right decisions.
“We need an alliance with the LP, who were the actual winners of the 2023 governorship election in Enugu State.
“LP like us is fighting for social justice; PDP is fighting for oppression; so, both we and labour are progressives, we need to work together to remove the oppressive PDP from office come 2027.”
