A self-styled disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr Simon Ekpa, has identified the group behind Tuesday’s attack at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
Ekpa, who has been disowned by IPOB in Finland where he resides, claimed that Fulani Taliban terrorists in Nigeria were behind the attack.
In a tweet, the self-acclaimed disciple of Kanu alleged that the terrorists carried out the attack in collaboration with their members in the academy.
According to Ekpa, the killing of two majors was to declare that they were now in charge.
“The highest security academy in Nigeria has been attacked by Fulani Taliban terrorists in Nigeria, two soldiers killed, with the help of those terrorist insiders.
“Killing only two soldiers was to give a statement that they are now in charge of your security institutions,” he said.
Unknown gunmen had attacked the NDA in Kaduna in the early hours of Tuesday.
The gunmen had reportedly killed two majors and abducted four others during the attack. ##
