Laughable. Indeed laughable. Damning silence would have better served the write-up in reference and its author but for a correctional piece of advice to Edeoga and his hatchet men; and also to quite importantly allay such insipid distraction for The Governor and The PDP Family in the state. Except in drama and theatricals, puerile projectiles as this do not deserve the dignified attention of mature and serious-minded folks and personalities.
That requisite ability to properly manage frustrations especially in endeavours as precarious and amorphous as Politics is one bold mark of maturity and manliness. In it even lies the courage and the hope for another, or other tries. It really distinguishes. By extention, it confers a special layer of political integrity and sagacity on the politician. Edeoga electing to try his luck elsewhere after a failed bid in PDP is not legally wrong but the way he goes about it is what apparently cannot escape being faulted. A decent and conscientious Edeoga should by now have risen to in strong terms condemn and denounce the variegated barrages of vilification of His Excellency, Governor Ugwuanyi assuming he(Edeoga) is not the architect. This degree of wired and brazen falsehood against His Excellency is outrageously condemnable. Godamnshit! Does it worth the while of response and intellectualism to imagine, let alone pander to an allegation that an unassailably peaceful Ugwuanyi is recruiting 1700 political thugs in the 17 LGAs of the state. For what please? Throughout his over twenty years in politics, has he ever been noted for political thuggery?
The 21st century Ndi Enugu are not majorly gullibles. The level of awareness in almost every area of our societal life has risen appreciably, especially in politics; and the trajectory continues. I would like this merchant of falsehood to educate me on the meaning of ”gun point”. Gun point to the delegates? Gun point to the PDP national delegation from Abuja? Gun point to journalist of various backgrounds that covered the Primaries? A statewide festival of gun points during the Primaries? Please all these should not be trivialized to mere propaganda and gimmickry. This cacophony of ludicrous abuse is gross both in content and context. It’s benumbing. Our governor doesn’t deserve this. Edeoga please take note. Your former boss doesn’t deserve this. You and your co-travellers can go about your business without tarnishing the image of your governor, our governor.
No tension whatsoever is gripping Ugwuanyi. No tension is gripping The PDP in Enugu State. We dee kamkpe! Ubochi vote ka o ga – ebe. Political ambition not issue-based but founded on falsehood and propelled by calumny, surely dashingly rumbles and tumbles in the gutter of ignominy and defeat. One who has forgotten history can be excused. Unless these traducers are suffering from chronic amnesia, they are inexcusable for forgetting too soon how a bigwig like Ekweremadu was recently tamed in his inglorious bid to truncate the guber rotational tradition in the state. Pointblank, damp quibs can’t make our dear Governor and The PDP Family in Enugu State to lose sleep even for a second.
