LP House of Assembly candidate vows to free constituents from bondage
Hon Osita Okoh, Labour Party (LP) candidate for Enugu East Urban Constituency of Enugu State in the 2023 general election, has vowed to free the people of his constituency from bondage if elected.
He said this in Umuchigbo square, Enugu East LGA while addressing newsmen during the governorship campaign rally of the party.
On the kind of bondage his people are in, he said that his people have been shortchanged in all ramifications, hence he has resolved to get them out of the Challenge.
If elected, I will ensure that infrastructural development in my constituency improves; youths empowerment and raising bills in the house that will be beneficial to his constituency.
Okoh frowned at the practice of bringing people from the rural areas to represent the urban constituency with the attendant fallout of the member not having been in the urban before his election.
“Such representative turns out to be a misfit in all ramifications, ” he said.
He noted that everything was in place for labour party to win all elective positions in the state.
“The current occupier of the position has not made any appreciable impact in the lives of his people.
“For 23 years now, the ruling party has shortchanged his people and their time is up he concluded, ” he said.
