Onyejiekwe family
Ebe town in Enugu State came alive last Friday when mourners, Associates, relatives and friends of Late Joseph Onyejiekwe who died in Los Angeles California USA recently was on hand to pay their last respect as he was laid to rest amidst wailing and crying by his relatives friends and associates.
In one corner was the wife who was part of the relatives that brought the corpse home from USA surrounded by close relatives.
The Chief mourner Barrister Moses Onyejiekwe was on hand to attend to various groups that attended the burial.The clement weather kept the crowd milling around the expansive family compound as various cultural displays was on hand to entertain the guests.
Many dignitaries was in attendance including the Deputy Governorship Candidate of labour Party in the just concluded elections in Nigeria Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia who came with a retinue of Aides and Associates.
His arrival raised the tempo of the event as labour party was fully represented at funeral ceremony by the Party faithful.
Barrister Moses Onyejiekwe the Chief mourner Praised his departed junior brother for the good life he lived and family oriented behavior that endeared him to so many people in Nigeria and diaspora.
In his Condolence message to the family His Excellency Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia thanked God for a well fulfilled life that Late Joseph Onyejiekwe lived and asked the family to bear the loss with fortitude and prayed for the repose of his soul.
The funeral ceremonies continued till late in the evening as more guests continued to arrive the Onyejiekwes family compound with more cultural displays still entertaining the visitors.
