The Girls Secondary School Isikwe Achi in Ojiriver Local government Area of Enugu State Penultimate Monday held their Reunion with the Theme Relive, Reconnect and Recelebrate.
The event Commenced with a prayer by the Alumnae Prayer Coordinator and thereafter the Chairman of the Occasion Dr Ogonna Orjiekwe in his opening remarks noted that the essence of the Reunion was to bring about the reuniting of the old classmates and School mates in a convivial atmosphere and also as an opportunity to give back to their alma mater and raise funds critical to the erection of infrastructures in the school.
He therefore tasked them to put their hands deep in their pockets and donate generously.
The Royal father of the day HRH Igwe Chuks Mbaeliachi went down memory lane to explain how the School came about and the high number of students who has passed through the school.
Then the event moved on with the Port Harcourt branch members who were in the School uniform and rendered the School Anthem to a thunderous applause of students and guests at the occasion.
The President of the Association Mrs Chinyere Nwankwo in her address noted that the main objective of the reunion was to raise funds to build a befitting Science Laboratory for the School,a School hall and also to help with Scholarships for bright students.
An old student of the School who is currently based in Cameroun Mrs Tochukwu Evelyn Chukwu in her interview with this reporter noted that she was so passionate about her Alma mater that she came with a dancing troupe to entertain the audience.
The event attracted many dignitaries and families of the old students who gave their support to the worthy cause of the old Students who were thoroughly entertained by the current students of the institution.
It was a very Successful reunion looking at the way the old students and guests supported the event.
