
Former Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief Eugene Odo has commended Governor Peter Mbah for flagging-off the dualisation of Ugwuogo Nike – Opi Nsukka road in Enugu State.
The former Speaker also appreciated Mbah for his developmental strides and plans for the Enugu North Senatorial zone.
Odo stated this while interacting with journalists in Enugu.
He said that the dualisation of Ugwuogo Nike – Opi Nsukka road would among others remain a legacy project for Mbah’s administration.
According to him, beyond enhancing effective security, the road would boost tourism, social and economic development of the Enugu North zone and the entire state.

While noting that the people of the zone are very happy with the sharing news of the road construction, he stressed that the governor, through the project, will wipe out tears of the Nsukka people on the free flow of traffic and curbing security problems on the road.
“We are not insensitive of other high impact developmental strides initiated and some concluded to boost the state’s economy and improve residents’ quality of life. Some of these projects includes:
“The completion of 71 roads in Enugu metropolis and the recent award of over 80 new roads construction projects across the state to enhance transportation and connectivity.
“The building of Smart Schools and Type-2 hospital in all 260 wards of the state to integrate technology into education, enhancing learning and quality health care in rural areas.
“Provision of clean water to residents, thereby improving the health and well-being of Enugu residents”, former Speaker noted.
Odo pointed out that the projects demonstrated the governor’s commitment to transforming Enugu State into a hub for economic growth and development.
Odo who is also a legal practitioner further extolled Mbah for using their own catchment reputable construction company, COMAG Nig LTD to execute the Ugwuogo Nike-Opi Nsukka dual carriage way.
