The newly appointed General Manager (GM) of Enugu State Housing Development Corporation, Barr. Gerald Asogwa has assumed office.
While addressing the Management and the staff of the States Housing Development Corporation, on Thursday, the GM appreciated His Excellency, the Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Peter Mbah, for finding him worthy to serve in his Administration, promising that he would not disappoint in his duties.
Barr. Asogwa who said that he had come to deliver that which was expected of him pleaded that he needed the Cooperation of the Management and the Staff of the agency to get this achieved.
“We need collaboration of the management team to implement the State Government’s Agenda. We will work as a family to achieve our common goal.”
It could be recalled that after unveiling his manifesto at Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu and then answering some questions at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Enugu, Mbah promised “to deliver quality, people-focused governance by making Enugu the preferred destination for investment, business, tourism and living,” adding that his vision was “to transform Enugu State from a public sector to a private sector.”
Asogwa said of course one could not achieve a thriving business if housing was not well harnessed.
In their different remarks, some of the management staff commended the choice of Asogwa adding “the man we had been waiting for has finally arrived.
“We promise to work with him to achieve the laudable projects of the State Government.
“We Sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Dr. Barr. Peter Mbah who found him worthy to be given such an amiable position. We promise to work together with him to achieve our mandates towards achieving the development agenda of the State Government in area of mass housing, addressing the housing deficit by getting affordable and cheap housing in the state.”
