
Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State has approved the appointment of Mr Amobi Ezeaku as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and General Manager (GM) of Rangers International FC of Enugu.
The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia made the announcement in a statement in Enugu.
The statement also reflected the appointment of 12 other appointees into various boards and parastaltals in the state.
According to the statement, the appointment of the Rangers former team manager takes immediate effect.
Ezeaku was the Rangers FC and youngest team manager in Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) when the team won the league and Aiteo cups in 2016 and 2018, after over three decades of waiting.
Ezeaku just returned to the country after successfully completing studies and earning UEFA and FIFA Masters certificates in club management.
Meanwhile, the governor also approved some other appointments including Prof. Bethrand Ngwu, as Chief Medical Director, ESUT Teaching Hospital, Parkane and Barr. Uche Anya, as Executive Chairman, Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority.
Others are, Mr Laurence Ani, Executive Secretary, Council for Arts and Culture, Nnanyelugo Dan Onyishi, Executive Secretary, Enugu State Economic Planning Commission and .Dr. Sam Ogbu Nwobodo, General Manager, Enugu State Investment Development Authority.
Also appointed are Gerald Asogwa, s General Manager, Enugu State Housing Development Authority, Dr. G.O.C. Ajah, mni, Chairman, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB)
