As the countdown to the local government Councils election in Enugu State gathers momentum a Labour Party Stalwart in Awgu local government area of Enugu State, Hon Aganigbo Chidozie has thrown his hat into the ring to contest for the Chairmanship position during the election that is scheduled for February 2024.
Speaking to a group of reporters in his Ihe ward yesterday, Hon Chidozie noted that he is in the race as a result of his passion to change the leadership narrative in Awgu local government area as he has watched the poor leadership that has been in place for the past twenty four years.
In his words, when labour Party came on board during the last general election with a road map and manifesto to change the way things were done in the leadership both at the Federal, State and grassroots it was then he keyed into the narrative and the results of the election in Enugu State was a testimony of the fact that the people of the state made up their minds that labour party is the party that can bring about a new lease of life and went about to vote massively for their candidates.
As a labour Party faithful in the Awgu local government he has been able to change the lives of so many people with well designed programs that have seen so many youths acquiring skills through his foundation.
Aganigbo said that he has ensured that the labour Party structures in Awgu are continually getting the required attention they deserve from the Party Stakeholders to ensure that labour party Enugu retains it’s position in Enugu State.
