When on the 23rd of August 2023 Dr GOC AJAH was announced as the new Executive Chairman of ENSUBEB, discerning observers all came to the conclusion that it was one appointment that will be celebrated within a very short while as he was going to deploy the wealth of his experience as an educationist in the administration of Primary and Junior Secondary education Sector in the State.
An Educationist Dr Donald Chukwu described the appointment as a sign that this administration is ready to enthrone Leadership from a fresh Perspective.
The Executive Chairman and his Management team within the first three months of their inauguration began the monitoring and Supervision of academic activities in all Public Primary Schools in the three Senatorial zones in the State to monitor the activities of the teachers and Pupils are in line with the established Policy of the board and also to ensure that the Governors ban on Sit at home on Mondays is strictly adhered to.
In a bid to carry along the staff of the board a workshop was organised for the staff of the board to amongst other objectives inculcate in them the new direction of the Present administration.
Next on the agenda of the board the Chairman and his management team was the inspection of all on going construction Projects in Some Primary Schools in the State meets the Standards as established .
The high Point of the boards activities is the Supervision of the Smart Schools Construction by the Executive Governor of the State His Excellency Dr Peter Mbah.
A Project that will revolutionize Education in the State and in the words of Dr GOC Ajah, Smart Schools will be established in all the 260 wards in the State and is primed to be a game Changer Courtesy of the disruptive governance of the Present administration that is in the race to make Enugu the reference Point when issues Pertaining to outstanding educational advancement is discussed in line with the administrations mantra of tomorrow is here.
