Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, the Governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) for Enugu State says he loses to opening the rural communities in the state if elected as governor on March 11.
Edeoga said this on Tuesday during his campaign tour of Eha-Ndiagu, Ehalumona in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
He said the main reason he decided to embark on ward to ward tour of the 17 Local Government Areas of the state was to have full knowledge of the needs of the people.
The ward to ward tour has exposed me to verious needs of our people.
I am assuring you that, if elected, I fixed the critical roads in several rural communities.
“When I was the Chairman of Isi Uzo Local Government Area, I graded the Neke/Eha-Nduagu road, I assuring you that, if you elect me come March 2023, I will do more, ” he said.
Edeoga said that apart from roads, most rural areas of the state lacked critucal infrastructure to make life meaningful for the people.
“There is a lot to do but I promise you, my government will be for the people and by the people, ” he said.
The LP candidate blamed past administrations for neglecting the people at the grassroots which, he said, was the fulcrum of governance.
According to him, the rural dwellers need all the government attention because they were the critical stakeholders in the state.
He urged the people to come out massively to vote for labour party candidates in all elections beginning with the presidentual election..
