
Coal City University (CCU), Enugu will on Saturday conferre first degree award on 502 graduates of 2020, 2021 2022 and 2023 with convocation ceremony at the institution convocation arena.
The Vice Chancllor, of CCU Prof. Afam Icha-Ituma disclosed this to the the newsmen in a press conference for the forthcoming convocation held at the senate chember on Tuesday.
Icha-Ituma said the briefing is the beginning of the series of activities lined up for the institution forthcoming convocation after many years.
He said that COVID-19 pandemic was the reason the convocation was delayed and that the institution now want to clear the piled Convocations.
According to the VC the activities includes, Novelty match between school staff and Alumni at the school field on Thursday.
“On Friday, there will be Alumni Lecture at the school auditorium and the lecture will be delivered by Chief Frank Nweke Jr. with the tittle,” Imagine; Create Your Future,” he said
Icha-Ituma said that the school has zero tolerance of cultism and has not has any case of such because of the tight security network the institution operate with.
“We also has a cordial relationship with the staff to ensure that the school produce qiluality graduates.
“As for the case of alleged forge certificate, the school management instituted a committee that carrying out a thorough investigation while the person involved is still under suspension,” The VC said.
He gave the rundown of the graduands to include; 33 fisrt class, 209 second class upper, 234 second class lower and 26 third class.
The VC confirmed that five personalities would be conferre with honorary awards ranging from Ebonyi State Governor. Gov. Francis Nwifuru.
In his vote of thanks, the Deputy Vice Chancllor Prof. Emeka Igwe thanked the newsmen for honouring tbe school invitation and said that the school maiden convocation what everybody’s interest.
Igwe noted that the school graduated qualified candidate and hope to see more greatness from then at the market.
