
In what appears to be a celebration of good governance in Nkanu East local government area, and the people’s reaffirmation of their vote of confidence in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for continuity, both party and non-party members have deferred the scorching weather and came out in their multitudes to drum support for the chairmanship candidate of the PDP, Hon. Sydney Edeh (Sydok) and his vice, Hon. Martins Agbo (Global), in the forthcoming local government elections slated for February 23, 2022.
Speaking at the event, the Administrator of Nkanu Central Development Central, Hon Uche Mba, assured the campaign train that Nkanu East Central Development Centre was fully prepared to give PDP 100% votes. Mba who lauded the efforts of the governor in fostering harmonious relationship amongst party faithful declared that such gesture has helped in building a strong, virile and formidable political party that would continue to rule the state beyond 2022.

Promising the elated teeming masses of Sydok’s capacity to move the local government council to a new dawn of rebirth and uncommon renaissance, Mba stated that Sydok had been tried and tested before where he triggered a chain of development within months which would also be replicated on assumption of office.
On his part, the former local government Chairman of Nkanu East, Hon Frank Anioma expressed gratitude to the Governor of Enugu State for making the job easy for them by providing enabling environment for the youths and politicians in the State to thrive, describing the him as the people’s governor.

He pledged to work for the success of all PDP candidates in upcoming election from the council area.
Guarantying the party’s bumper harvest, Hon. Mike Okenwa assured the campaign train that he would always work for the progress of party adding that, “I believe in operation deliver your polling boot for Sydok/Global come February 23.”
Lending his voice, a party chieftain, Hon. John Nwatu, hailed the campaign train led by Hon Okey Mba and assured the campaign train that no vote would be lost in Ihuokpara because Sydok/Global were sellable candidates.
Also speaking at the event was , Hon Obinna Nnamani, whom appreciated the people for coming out in their numbers and gave them words of encouragement to be steadfast as the goal was to win and it would surely end in praise.

On his part, the lawmaker representing Nkanu East Constituency at the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor, thanked the God Almighty for a day like this and also thanked the people’s Governor for his regular support and love to the people. He also encouraged the people to be in togetherness and love as it is the only way to achieve their commont goal.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Sydok/Global Campaign train, Hon Okey Mba, who coincidentally is a native of Nkanu East Central Development Center, in his speech said; today we are here to tell ndi be anyi that we should come out en mass and vote for PDP in upcoming election.
“I am not here for preaching because our people believe in PDP, we have been benefiting from PDP and we will always cast our vote for the PDP.
“Ndi Nkanu East, let’s do it again this time.”
“Let’s come out in mass and vote for all PDP Candidates.”
Passionately speaking was also the Chairman of the party in the local government area, Hon. Emeka Nwatu, who appreciated the people for coming out in great numbi to honour the campaign train, reminding them of how PDP has been a leading party and urging that the spirit of patriotism, love for the party and local government be sustained. He also charged them that their maximum support would go a long way in giving the party the massive electoral victory needed.
The chairman who seized the opportunity to present the PDP chairmanship flagbearer, his running mate and the 3 PDP councillorship candidates of Nkanu East Central Development Center to the people even as cheers resonated from the crowds.
Capping the rally, the PDP chairmanship flagbearer, Hon. Sydney, appreciated the good people of Nkanu East Central for trooping out to show their support, reiterating he would not take their support for granted if elected into office .
Sydney who pleaded with the people to also to repeat the same gesture on election day grabbed the opportunity to extol the “White Lion” of Enugu State, Rt. Hon Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the state’s party leadership and the good people of Nkanu East council for finding him worthy to be their flag bearer.
He promised not to fail the people if elected as chairman.
