
A force can rarely be broken when its strength is genuine. A solid foundation has no fear in the rainy season as it has no fear for any fall. Indeed, greatness of a solid foundation is about to set in.
On 15th February, 2022, the campaign train of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), tagged, “Uncommon Transformation” stormed Nkanu East South Development Center rallying party members to vote come out en masse and vote for the party in the forthcoming local government elections slated to hold on the 23rd of this month.

Speaking at the event were the ward chairmen of the party from Nkanu East South Development Center, led by Hon. Edwin Anyim, who is the PDP chairman of Nkerefi Ward 2 .They assured the campaign team of 100% support, adding they would continue to be relentless in the journey for the transformation of the project.
Also speaking at the event, the SPA to the Local Government Chairman on Political matters, Hon Donatus Nwogbo, assured the campaign train of their total support and 100% vote of Mburubu ward, stating that PDP was a leading party and will continue to take the lead.

In his address, Hon. Rev Felix Nwoye gave the assurance to the campaign train of the people’s maximum cooperation for the betterment of the LG at large.
Hon Mrs Ngozi Ogbonna, a former Deputy Chairman of the Local Government, while speaking, thanked the people’s Governor of Enugu State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for his peaceful nature in managing the crises in the state and promised to always work for the progress of party. Also, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani, a Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, in his speech, lauded the campaign team led by the Campaign Director General, Hon. Okey Mba, for proper coordination of the event and assured the campaign train that he will mobilize all the youth of Nkanu East especially the people of Nkerefi to vote en masse.

Meanwhile, the former Secretary to the Government of Enugu state, Dr. GOC Ajah, mni, gave a resounding rendition of the Governor’s massive projects, his love and projects for the people of the local government area. He said the Governor have done them well.
On own part, Hon Uche Anichukwu, the SPA to Senator Ike Ekweremmadu representing Enugu West Senatorial Zone, assured the campaign train that no vote will be lost in Nomeh ward. Also, his counterpart SPA to the Governor on Agriculture, Hon. Mike Ogbuekwe, in his speech promised that there’s no opposition in the game and assured the campaign team of adequate vote turnout.

Speaking also was a Member representing Nkanu East in Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor appreciated the good people of Nkanu South Development Center, and also pleaded their unrelenting support to deliver the candidates of the party, adding a vote for PDP is a vote for progress.
The Director General of Sydok/Global Campaign group, Hon. Okey Mba hailed the people of Nkanu south Development Center for coming out, pleading for their massive turnout on the election day. According to him, “A vote for PDP is a quality vote of transformation.”

The PDP Party Chairman of Nkanu East, Hon Emeka Nwatu, in his speech, pleaded with the people of Nkanu East South Development Center, to troop out in their large number and vote for PDP, as it is a vote for greatness.
Presenting the PDP Chairmanship flag bearer, his running mate and the four councilorship candidates if the party from Nkanu South Development Center (Nkerefi Wards 1 & 2, Mburubu Ward, and Nomeh Ward) by the party Chairman, Hon Prince Emeka Nwatu said he was elated for the quality of candidates the party had presented.

In acceptance speech, the PDP Chairmanship Flag bearer, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, expressed delight at the trust reposed on him by the people, pleading with the them for their massive support to make the target a reality.
His running mate who is also the incumbent Deputy Chairman of Nkanu East local government area, Hon Martin Agbo (Global), assured the entire people of Nkanu East South that they will never fail to deliver in their mandate.
