Major Stakeholder and Chieftain of Labour Party in Awgu local government area of Enugu State Hon Aganigbo Chidozie has in line with the world Press conference by the National leadership of the labour Party Called on the Appellate Court to correct the the injustice meted to the Labour Party during the last Enugu Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Enugu State.
It will be recalled that the Labour Party Governorship Candidate Barrister Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga and his Deputy Governorship Candidate Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia had in their Petition brought before the Justice Akano led Panel proved beyond all reasonable doubt that the PDP Candidate was by his Submission of a Certificate which the issuing authority the NYSC denied emanated from them was not qualified to be elected into the office of a Governor of Enugu State.
In another Petition the labour Party Governorship Candidate Provided evidence of over voting that was so glaring that INEC headquarters in Abuja waded into the matter and had to reduce the over voting instead of outright cancellation of the results in Nkanu East local government area.
Hon Aganigbo noted that Enugu State in the last election Showed that they were tired of twenty four years of PDP non Performance and voted massively for Labour party that Changed the narrative in the State that today the labour Party has two Senators, seven federal house of Representatives and fourteen State House of Assembly members.
As the Appeal Court is getting set to give their Verdict on the Governorship election Hon Chidozie expects them to correct the injustice and restore the hope that the Judiciary is the last hope of the Common Man.
