The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, has called on
members of the All Progressive Congress in Enugu State to ensure that the party’s congress billed to start with the wards congresses on the 5th of April was conducted without crisis and rancor.
Onyeama who is the Leader of the party in the state, made the call during a Stakeholders Meeting of APC in the state held at Toscana Hotel to draw out plans for the success of the congress across the
state.

The Honorable Minister noted that progress could only be achieved where there was peace adding, “I will continue to do everything within my power to make sure that APC is one in Enugu state. This is because with a peaceful and united house, we stand to gain a lot both at the state level and at the federal.
Also speaking on the forthcoming Congress, he charged all party members to come out en masse to elect the leaders that would not only be advocates of peace but those who would sacrifice their time to
ensure that the party was successful in the state in the forthcoming general elections.

“We must not only come out tomorrow and vote but to elect credible leaders”, he said.
He commended President Muhammed Buhari for the numerous projects being
carried out in South East and most especially the fight against corruption adding that the United States government has been very helpful in that regard.
Speaking also, the former president of the Senate, Chief Ken Nnamani, who corroborated with the Leader of the party in the state, pointed out that the gains of being united cannot be overemphasized.
While assuring that he would always be on the side of peace, Nnamani urged all aggrieved stakeholders and party members to sheath their swords and work together as one if they were expecting to change anything in Enugu state.
In his remark, the APC deputy chairman South East, Chief Emma Enukwu,
thanked the Leader of the party in the state, Onyeama for all his efforts in making sure the party remains united in the state noting that there was a great need for all the party members in the state to come together and work as a family.
He stated that the People Democratic Party led government in the state feels very comfortable with the crisis ravaging the APC in the state as nobody was asking questions on the areas where the government is not doing well.
Enukwu who promised to continue to work with the Hon. Minister to pilot the affairs of the party in the state, commended Chief Ken Nnamani, for initiating the peace move and also playing the role of a father.
Other speakers emphasized on the need for all to be united if they will achieve their goals and also the need to come out tomorrow being 5th of May 2018 to elect credible leaders that would lead the party.
