Kennedy Iyare on Enugu Labour Party Guber Candidate: …….An Outburst of A Frustrated Bigot and Reflection of a Performative Activism
One of the essential characteristics of naive people with archaic mindset is their inability to recognize their influence and limitations, and when some people participate in an activism, not because they believe in the cause but because they want to get paid or popular.
It is rather an acutely shallow form of activism that often occurs for selfish reasons, taking advantage of the new media space to execute a hatchet job for his pay master in the name of activism or movement and one person that quickly comes to mind is one Kennedy Iyare who calls himself activist but in actual sense he is only engaging in performative activism which centers on deception, pretense and typically done on purpose to appear that the person is part of something. Or to look like the person has the same interests as his/her followers.
Ordinarily, no one would have bordered him or herself about the outburst of Kennedy Iyare, had it been he is from Enugu State but his outburst caught the attentions of the people of Enugu state knowing that the so called activist and self acclaimed Convener of the 40 million Ballots Movement is not from Enugu state but from Edo State.
When we dig deeper to understand his interest in the Labour Party governorship ticket in Enugu state, the result is heartbreaking to know that Kennedy Iyare is on Odengene’s payroll.
Odengene is an ally of Ebeano in Enugu state who agreed to lead the Ebeano team to do a spoiler job for Labour Party in Enugu in favor of PDP.
Just listen to him “Yesterday, I organized his major support groups into a fundraising network by creating the Peter Obi War Chest Movement (POWCHEM) but have decided to halt my activities with the group till Peter Obi withdraws his support for Chijioke Edeoga” says the Comrade.
Can you imagine such threat and desperation from poorly equipped fellow who only brought shame and embarrassment to the world of activism.
That is why he is so desperate to suddenly claim he made Peter Obi, and how he is planning on a fundraising event and has gone on to issue threats against the presidential candidate of his party because of a governorship candidate in Enugu State.
My beloved compatriots and Obedient family this is incomprehensible.
The Comrade claims that the trio of Okwy Nwodo, Nnia Nwodo and Bart Nnaji are working for PDP/ Gburugbu in support of Atiku Abubakar to sabotage Peter Obi. What a permutation.
But to prove his level of frustration and ill equipped mentality, our Comrade friend from Edo probably forgot that Enugu PDP’s hands are in gloves with Gov Wike and therefore can not be working for Atiku.
Who else has heard of any organisation called 40 million Ballots Movement before if not recently to execute their hatchet job. What are your activities and who are your members? To confirm his disconnection with fact, If the three gentlemen he mentioned are behind the candidate of Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga, CJE, whom he claims has no resources, what more does Edeoga need to become the governor of Enugu state.
One would have expected our Comrade friend Iyare to hold his calm and wait for INEC final list instead of jumping from state to state shopping for court judgement in favor of his preferred candidate Odengene.
Maybe he has seen signs that Ebeano will require explanation when they fail to deliver on their promise of destabilizing Enugu State LP, but we tell you, you have failed. May we also bring to your notice that his Excellency Peter Obi cannot be threatened, so you better save your energy.
On a final note, we think it will be a disservice to our people if we fail to cease this golden opportunity to call you to order and advise you well, because this seem to be the second time you are displaying high level of desperation and arrogance aimed at impressing your paymaster Odengene but unfortunately the mission is dead on arrival.
Because what you cannot get through the front door cannot be gotten through the window. Again it will be important to let you know that no single person and not even Peter Obi himself can stand on the way or impact negatively on Obidient Movement, so is either you join the movement or you step aside. May we let you know that the delegates of the Labour Party in Enugu state has spoken and the result of their verdict is beyond Obi’s power to alter.
So either you keep your mouth shut or you continue to grumble like a bad workman who agrees to do any work even those he knows he cannot do. So our dear Comrade, what you should occupy your mind now should be how to give account of all the money expended on you on this failed project by your paymasters.
