The dreaded Yoruba secession agitator, Sunday Igboho, has said that there will be no election in the South West geo-political zone in 2023.
Speaking with the leaders of secessionist groups at a rally in Osogbo on Saturday, Igboho said it was time for the Yoruba nation to leave Nigeria as its people could no longer be enslaved
He sought unity among Yoruba people and asked all aggrieved to come together.
The Yoruba freedom fighter also asked the Oyo and the federal governments and the Nigeria Police Force to immediately release all Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) members in custody over the arrest of the Fulani warlord Isikilu Wakili in Ibarapa, Oyo State.
The Oyo State Police Command had announced that it took into custody some members of the OPC connected with the earlier arrest of Wakili.
But Ighoho, during the rally, warned against their continued detention.
“I urge the Oyo and federal governments and the police to release OPC members who arrested Fulani herdsmen terrorising Yoruba people in Ibarapa land immediately.
“They apprehended some Fulani who were disrupting the peace of Ibarapa and handed them over to the police. But the police and government now arrested them.
