Edeoga promises to rehabilitate dilapidated UNN Zik’s flats hostels
The Governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) in Enugu State, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga has promised to rehabilitate the Zik’s flat, at the University of Nigetia Nsukka (UNN), if he becomes governor in 2023.
He made the promise when he visited the Senior Staff Club of the University as part of his ongoing ward and groups consultation/gubernatorial campaign.Edeoga, who described the visit as “home coming” adding “I am glad to be back in the “Lion’s Den”.
It would be recalled that, he was an undergraduate of UNN between 1982 and 1986.
The governorshp hopeful described Zik’s flat hostels as one of the important structures dedicated to restoring UNN’s greatness as envisaged by it’s founder, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe.
Edeoga was further inducted into the University of Nigeria Nsukka Senior Staff Club.
He said that, since he left the University in 1986, he had continued to show interest in the affairs of the institution.
“I have continued to seek ways to make sure that the work of the founding fathers, like the great Zik of Africa and Prof Ikejiani are not in vain, ” he said.
He solicited the support of the entire UNN community for the 2023 election.
Many members of the club commended the guber candidate for showing interest in the affairs of University.
