Our reporter in Abakaliki reports that there was normal free flow of traffic, as commercial buses, tricycles, taxes and okada went about their normal businesses.
Schools, markets, banks were all open as security agencies patrolled the town to boost morale and dispel initial fear of attack from IPOB faithful.
Governor David Umahi had earlier warned that traders who closes shops in compliance to the IPOB order risk losing such shops afterwards.
Umahi who agreed that the South East was still being marginalized said there are better approaches being adopted by leaders of the zone.
Enugu: Like Ebonyi all the markets in the State capital were open but the traders themselves stayed away from the markets.
The markets were thus virtualy empty with skeletal and scanty activities witnessed.

The roads were not busy as usual as most roads were deserted. However, there were vehicular movement in some areas like the popular Ogui Road.
