On arrival, Igboho proceeded to the palace of the Deji of Akure, where he was received by some high chiefs.

The activist said the time had come for the Yoruba people to decide their fate, adding that recent developments is an indication that “going our separate ways is the best”.
Earlier, women, youths, motor cycle riders, traders, artisans, and others, who wore attires with the inscription ‘Omo Oduduwa ni mi’ (I’m Oduduwa’s child), moved round the city to create awareness about the campaign.
Meanwhile, policemen, soldiers, personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Amotekun were on ground to maintain order and ensure that the rally didn’t not degenerate into chaos.
