Akure, Nov. 22, 2025 (NAN) The Certified Institute of Auctioneers Nigeria (CIAN) has named Lansar Aghaji & Co as its 2025 Auctioneer of the Year, marking the firm’s second consecutive win of the prestigious honour.
The announcement was made at the institute’s national conference held in Ilorin, where industry leaders, regulators and practitioners gathered to celebrate excellence and innovation in the auction profession.
Principal Auctioneer, AUC Ikenna Lansar Aghaji, received the honour amid applause from delegates who commended his firm’s consistency, professionalism and contributions to the growth of the auction sector.
CIAN said the award recognised the company’s delivery of high-quality physical and online auctions, its expanding portfolio of government and private-sector assignments across the country, and its strong reputation for transparency and efficiency.
The institute also highlighted the firm’s pioneering approach to digital auction processes, noting that its adoption of technology has “set new standards for reliability, access, and public trust.”
The body further praised the firm’s commitment to capacity-building, particularly its mentorship of young and upcoming auctioneers across Nigeria.
With this award, Aghaji will remain CIAN’s number one auctioneer in Nigeria until November 2026.
