Port Harcourt – The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) says it is planning to reopen the institution for academic activities on August 29.
The spokesman of the university, Sam Kpenu, confirmed the resumption date in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Thursday
“The Committee of Provost and Deans at the 393rd Extraordinary Meeting held on Aug. 16 announced the resumption date for the first semester 2020/2021 academic session.
“To this end, all students are expected to return to campus on Aug. 29 while lectures will commence on Aug. 30,” he said.
Kpenu said that returning students were expected to register their academic courses upon resumption as well as pay their tuition on or before Oct. 8. (NAN)
