A Kano Sharia Court has sent a female blogger, Sadiya Haruna, back to school for six months to learn basic Islamic cultures.
The court, sitting at the Kano Hisbah Command, sentenced the blogger to a six-month Islamiyya School participation with strict compliance conditions.
Sadiya was arrested by the Kano Police Command on the allegations of spreading nude videos and pictures on her Facebook page, which created serious problems among some Islamic leaders.
However, after her arrest, the police took her to Sharia Court sitting at the State Hisbah Command and presided over by Ali Danzaki.
The Sharia Court Judge, Ali Danzaki said he sentenced Sadiya Haruna to go back to Islamiyya School at Darul Hadith for a period of six months.
He ruled that Sadiya Haruna would on a daily basis go to the Islamiyya School with the full escort of Hisbah guards who would ensure that she also signified her presence at the school. ##
