Akure, Nov. 23, 2025 –The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Signage and Advertisement, Mr Yomi Oyekan, will on Monday begin a two-week media tour to sensitise residents on signage regulations.
The SSA’s office said the programme aims to deepen public understanding of the functions and guidelines of the Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSAA).
It said the tour aligns with Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s directive that community engagement should drive service delivery across the state.
The office said the exercise would include visits to media houses, market sessions and direct engagement with artisans, traders and corporate bodies.
It added that the team would clarify permit procedures, safety requirements and compliance steps during the sensitisation visits.
It said discussions would also cover urban development, environmental orderliness and beautification across the state.
Oyekan said the exercise focuses on education and cooperation rather than penalties for defaulters.
He said taking the message directly to residents would promote understanding and voluntary compliance with signage regulations.
Residents and business operators were urged to participate actively and seek clarifications during the sensitisation tour.
