Akure, Nov. 20, 2025 — The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has paid a familiarisation visit to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Signage and Advertisement.
The visit to Yòmí Oyékàn in Akure aimed to strengthen collaboration with key players in the signage and advertising sector.
ARCON commended Ondo State for sanitising outdoor advertising and enforcing national standards across signage operations.
The council said synergy with the Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency was vital for transparency and professionalism.
Oyékàn reaffirmed the state’s commitment to responsible advertising and improved aesthetics under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
He said the partnership would curb illegal billboards, boost compliance and enhance the state’s visual landscape.
Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation through training, information sharing and aligned enforcement.
The visit ended with a tour of signage sites to assess compliance level.
