Abuja, Jan. 25, 2025 (NAN) The Director General of Gombe State Inter-Secondary Schools Athletics and Principals’Cup Football Competition, Ahmed Shuaibu- Gara Gombe has commented various committees and media for their loyalty commitments in making the 6-day event a great success.
The tournament which commenced on Tuesday at the Pantami Township Stadium, would come to an end on Saturday, January 25th 2025.
Hon. Gara Gombe who singlehandedly sponsored the tournament is full of praises on the Main Organising Committee, media and other sports officers who have been working round the clock to make this year’s edition a huge success.
“Let me thank the Main Organising Committee (MOC) for a job well done in the last few days.The opening ceremony which held on Tuesday was commendable .
“Honestly, both Main Organising Committee and sub committes have lived up to expectations in their various jobs since the arrival of athletes and other officials.
“I won’t forget to mention our media partners for their unwavering support given to us before and during the competitions.
They have done fantastic job in giving the Championship a global latitude.”
“I also want to thank other sports officers who are with us for their technical support because if you look this competition, it is well organised and coordinated from the beginning to this stage” .
The Chairman /CEO of GWG Sports Centre disclosed that the closing ceremony scheduled for Saturday would be glamorous as football match and other event finals would be decided.
He also appealed to the media not to relent on their performance and charged them to continue giving the competition a good reportage that would attract individual sponsors, corporate bodies to partner with organisers in the next edition.(NAN)
