The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Ugo Fedinand Ukwueze, has charged the newly constituted committee on Assets Valuation and Documentation to be professional in carrying out their task.

The Chairman who gave the charge while inaugurating the committee on Thursday at the Council Headquarters, promised to provide them with logistical supports to enable them deliver their assignment within the stipulated time.
Barr. Ukwueze who is also the Vice Chairman of ALGON in the state, clarified that the committee’s purpose was not to target individuals or past administrations but to provide his administration with a comprehensive report and detailed information on the council’s assets and liabilities.

He urged the committee members to live up to expectations noting, “You are professionals with impressive track records in your different fields of endeavour selected in order to put forward your expertise on this very important task,”.
He said that they should do their job of assessing, valuating and documenting the local government’s assets without fear or favour.

“Your task is to evaluate the state of the council’s vehicles, lands, buildings, revenue generating points, brands and other valuable properties of the council.
“You have two weeks to complete this task and you are authorized to seek additional assistance or extensions if necessary,” Barr. Ukwueze explained.
He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in his administration adding that, it aligns with his campaign mantra of ‘Progress Agenda’.
The Chairman who also said that his programmes in the council aligns with the agenda of the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, thanked him for providing a people oriented leadership in the state.
“We are feeling the touch of His Excellency’s leadership in the area of health, education, infrastructure, human capital development among other sectors. Indeed, our Tomorrow is Here,”. Barr. Ukwueze said.
Responding, the committee’s chairman, Sir. Bona Ugwuja who spoke on behalf of the committee, expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to them to serve the council on such an important subject matter.
Ugwuja who said that the committee members will not take the gesture for granted, pledged that they would deliver the assignment on time and satisfactorily.
FirstNews reports that the committee’s inauguration was attended by the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Princess Chinwendu Ogbonna, the PDP Chairman of the LGA, Chief Ejike Amedu and the 16 elected ward Councillors of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area.
