Progressives Congress Party, member representing Buruku Federal Constituency of Benue state. Hon. Sekav Dzua Iyortyom, has said that the verdict delivered by the Court of Appeal in his favour was a clear reflection of the immense support giving to him by his people to represent them during the general elections .
He stated this to pressmen in his office shortly after the Appeal court affirmed his victory in Abuja.
The lawmaker while expressing gratitude to the people of his constituency over the victory also thanked God Almighty who made it possible saying that he dedicate the victory to God and his people.
Iyortyom further added that, with the victory he repose more confidence in the judiciary who are the last hope of the common man.
Saying that with the unwavering support giving to him by his people during and after the elections ,he will ensure they get the best representation and promise never to let them down.
According to him, the devident of democracy has just began .
The lawmaker also said ,though as a legislator he is mandated to make laws governing the nation for the good and progress of the country and not to execute projects meant for the executives, however he will go out of his way to ensure he bring meaningful development to his people .
He therefore called on his opponent to sheath their sword and join him in moving Buruku federal constituency forward .
Hon.Iyortyom also said apart from providing jobs for the youths ,he will soon role out his agenda for that will benefit the people of Buruku federal constituency he added
