
The Deputy Governorship Candidate of labour Party Enugu State in the just concluded elections in Nigeria has assured the women wing Executives of the Party who paid him a Solidarity a Solidarity visit in his Residence Wednesday afternoon that he sees light at the end of the tunnel.In her opening Speech during the visit the State woman leader of the Party Mrs Emily Chidiegwu said that the visit was to acknowledge the great effort of the Deputy Governorship Candidate during the rallies leading to the Election in February/March especially in the provision of three vehicles that was conveying the women wing of the party to all the wards in Enugu noting that his humble disposition and accessibility was Second to none. Many other Executives in the entourage spoke glowingly of the affable Deputy Governorship Candidate and his penchant to offer help even at Short notice.The high point of the event was when the wife of the host Mrs Jessie Nwokeabia (Odiukonamba) as she is Popularly known took the floor to thank the guests for their Commitment and drive that led to the Victory recorded by labour Party during the election which has continued to be the topic of discussion both in Enugu State and everywhere as the results was unprecedented in the annals of Political development in Enugu State. She further urged the Women to continue in prayers for the coming judgement of the Governorship election.In his response to all the great Speeches at the event Dr Nwokeabia said he was very excited about the visit by the women wing of the labour Party noting that they were a great Pillar during and after the elections and their efforts was very Commendable. On the recent Judicial rulings in the State he assured them that all hands are on deck to retrieve the mandate that was freely given to the labour Party and requested that they Should Continue in prayers for the outcome of the Governorship election result to be in favour of the Party as all evidence points to the fact that Enugu people are fed up with the leadership of the ruling Party in the State and decided to go for the party that has promised to Change the way things have been since the past twenty four years.
