Is it not disheartening and shocking that Bar. Chijioke Edeoga, who is an Anglican by faith is using his co-travellers and social media bandits in makeshift Labour Party to blackmail and castigate churches and their leaders, including his own Anglican church for meeting with PDP leaders in Nsukka? Nothing is surprising or disappointing about it, unless for those who don’t know Bar. Edeoga and his allies’ mode of operation on social media.
Is this not the same way Bar. Edeoga unleashed his social media attack dogs and blackmailers on his co-PDP governorship aspirants, particularly his brother and kinsman, Prof. Hillary Edeoga and Mr. Peter Mbah thinking that such antics will secure him victory at the end? Did it work for him? No, it didn’t. That is why he lost in the PDP governorship primaries.
They have continued to do the same thing, the same way and have continued to fail, because they lacked emotional intelligence and political sagacity required of good leaders and politicians.
Blackmailing churches and their leaders in the name of partisan politics is the worst path any reasonable politician and Christian can follow, because nothing is hidden under the sun and there should be limit to political desperation and hatred.
The actions of Labour Party members on social media against Churches and their leaders in the state since after the PDP primaries speak volume of Edeoga and what he and his labourers in Labour Party stand for.
It has shown the kind of religious cum political atmosphere his government will create in Enugu if given chance. But who will give Edeoga chance, knowing that he is too fixated, petty and vindictive.
Edeoga and his labourers should look for what to campaign with and stop the known blackmailing and mudslinging of Churches, their leaders and members for meeting with PDP leaders. If Edeoga and his co-travellers don’t have anything to campaign with which is expected and not surprising, they should keep quiet and bury their heads in shame. Enough of their dragging of our revered men of God to the mud for their selfish political interests.
