YPP will create employment through, Industries, Agriculture, says Guber candidate
Mr Ugochukwu Edeh, the Governorship candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Enugu State said he will create employment for the youths and women through Industries, Agriculture, Sports among others.
Edeh said this in Enugu, adding that his government would focus on youths empowerment and will ensure prudential use of government fund.
“My plan for the state is to build factories in the 17 Local Government Areas to create youths employment.
“I want youths to be well employed as those factories will accommodate up to 2000 employees in each of the council area and that bring the total in each LGA to 34,000.
“Youths and Women will be the focal point of my government beacuse when you empower a youth you have empowered thousands.
“When you empowered a women you have empowered the nation because they are the bedrock of every nation and must be empowered.
“I believed in harnessing talents because we have lots of talents wasted because of negligence but other nation use discoveries to excel,” he said.
Edeh said he was a victim of wasted talent, when he was a student of Goverment Technical College (GTC), Enugu, that he built bicycle from scratch and other things but no sponsored or government subvention.
He said his government will not give room for Special Advisers (SPAs), Senior Assistants (SAs) and other posts without portfolio as such sucks the state funds with noting in return.
The Governorship candidate said that South East has been good place for agriculture with good soil and going by geographical area.
“Anybody who is sensible enough should be thinking of Agriculture and that is why I want to make Enugu State the food basked of the nation.
“In Eastern part of this country, we can cultivate from season to season and all we need is to retore water.
“While making the state a food basket of the nation, we must retore water to every corner of the state by the government taken back the strategic tanks, pay those in possession off,” Edeh said.
