Youths to become biggest beneficiaries of my government, says Gov. Mbah

The newly inaugurated Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah has said that Enugu youths would be biggest beneficiaries of his administration.
Mbah stated this during his inaugural address/ swearing-in as the governor of Enugu State on Monday in Enugu.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mbah and his Deputy, Mr Ifeanyi Ossai took oath of office administered by the Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Raymond Ozoemena held at the popular Okpara Square, Enugu.
NAN also reports that there were police parade in honour of the new governor as well as the presence of the sister security agencies who ensured adequate security.
The governor said his government would expose youths to the skill required to grasp the emerging future and create opportunities for genius in them to flourish.
He said he would invoke and instill in them the can-do- spirit that was innate in Igbo man.
“Enugu State will rubbish Japa- “travelling attitude among the youths to other countries” not by legislation but by creatively addressing the challenges to the future of our youths.
“We will address the hopelessness among Enugu youths,” he added.
Mbah equally said he would equip them with e-commerce, fintech and cyber-security skills that would make them globally connected.
He stated that his administration would be business unusual, adding that tough decisions would be taken for the best interest of Enugu people.
He promised to run an inclusive government designed to accommodate all citizens of Enugu State.
“We will retool and re-energize agriculture/agro-allied sector to unlock rural economy and also drive commerce and industry sector.
“Our creative industry will be lifted from its old glory and be positioned as driver of our developmental dreams,” he said.
The new governor, pledged to lift other sectors in the state like health, water, education, security, transport, sports and sanitation.
NAN equally reports that the 51 year old Mbah is a Nigerian maritime lawyer, financial analyst, and politician.
Mbah, who hailed from Owo in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu state is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Pinnacle Oil and Gas.
Mbah the PDP governorship candidate was announced winner of Enugu State 2023 governorship election after scoring 160,895 votes to defeat his closest rival Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party (LP) who polled 157,552 votes. NAN
