Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s ambition to succeed his boss in 2023 has begun to manifest after a group of his supporters issued a statement describing him as the best candidate for the job.
The group identified as the Osinbajo Grassroots Organisation (OGO) said the vice president remained the best candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
The convener of the group, Foluso Ojo, described the vice president as the pathway to Nigeria’s future from 2023 going by his respect for the rule of law.
Ojo said that the group had set aside August 8 to celebrate Osinbajo, adding that his leadership qualities show that he can succeed Buhari in 2023 and consolidate on the initiatives of the current administration.
“We have identified in the vice-president a leader of unimpeachable character; someone who can continue on the good works already started by President Muhammadu Buhari,” Ojo added.
He explained that the event was meant to convince the vice president to accept to contest for the presidency, adding that it will hold online and offline in Abuja and states across the federation. ##
