Mr Jonathan Okwudili, the national president and visionary founder of the Ohaigbo Community Development Initiative (OCDI) said the organisation stands for good governance and representative.
Okwudili said this when he flagged off the advocacy, “Alaigbo Voters and Governance Charter 2026” during the OCDI General meeting inside the Christ the King (CKC) Rosary Hall, Aba on Monday.
He made it clear that, the advocacy group is a non partician and have no political party of it’s own but advocate for reliable, trusted candidate, good governance and representatives.
“OCDI cannot afford to be silent. It cannot afford to watch. leadership is a responsibility,”he said.
Okwudili urged the people to stay away from politicians who will want to buy them over with money and vote the candidates that can deliver the dividends.
OCDI chairman Aba South Mr Kenneth Erondu, in his welcome address thanked the participants and noted that OCDI stands for progress, community building, infrastructure, scholarship and others.
“What can we do to bring the Eastern part of this country close to the government and ensure it’s development in line with the government plan,”he asked.
Mrs Chigozie Oguche, the Deputy State Director said the advocacy target, was all the communities needed most and that such will benefit women, especially the windows.
“It is time we chance people’s narrative to politics and ensure they stopped exchanging their children’s future for money,piece of wrapper and other material things,”she said.
Finally, Evangelist Success Ahukanna, the OCDI coordinator for Aba North Local Government Area said the advocacy want to ensure that government dividends reach the locallities.
“We are preparing for the forthcoming election to ensure that, good candidates are voted to represent the people’s in different political positions,”Ahukanna said.
