The management of NYSC has declared that it will not hesitate to initiate or take any legal action against any individual or group that contravenes the provision of the NYSC act as regards the use of the NYSC uniforms.
The scheme in a statement on Monday by Eddy Megwa, director press and public relations made known to newsman said that NYSC is compelled to bring to the notice of the general public on the dangers of unauthorized use of NYSC uniforms, logo, iyrics, literature and other intellectual materials associated with NYSC.
He further stated that the scheme is greatly disturbed by the circulation of various content on social media for entertainment and political purpose where the uniforms is used without consent.
The statement emphasized that NYSC remains apolitical and neutral in the ongoing political and Electioneering process, saying these unregulated materials continue to portray the NYSC in bad light.
For more emphasis, section 14,of the NYSC act clearly specifies that any person who, not being a person serving in the service corps or dully authorized so to do wears the uniforms or any part of the uniforms of service corps is guilty of an offense and is liable on conviction to fine of N1,000,00 or impressionment for a terms of Six months.
