LP candidate says poor representation forced him into the race
Barr John Edeh the labour Party Candidate for Nkanu East/west federal Constitueny in Enugu State has said he is in the race as a result of Poor representation of the current representative of his constituency.
Speaking to newsmen in Enugu recently, Edeh noted that, today in his constituency there is nothing to write home about.
According to him, he had brought scholarship to very bright students and youths in the communities who are the future leaders.
“As an ordinary person from Akpugo Nkanu west LGA, I have personally awarded Scholarships to indigent students and so many students today are enjoying this scholarship scheme.
“This is a way of giving back to the society where I come from.
“It is also on record and verifiable that, in 2009, I installed a 500KVA Transformer at Ugwuagba Village in Ndiagu Akpugo Nkanu west LGA as part of my social responsibility.
“My own Junior brother have also been in the forefront of delivering infrastructures to the admiration of the people and this attitude runs in our family.
“So you can imagine what it will be if I have the mandate of my People to represent them.
“I will ensure that the approved constituency projects are delivered as at when due instead of the current practice where contractors are given the opportunity to execute projects without proper supervision thereby resulting in abandonment of such projects.
“i will urge my people to understand that as the Labour party mantra says that we will never take our constituents for granted and as my past records show, I have the capacity to change the way we have been represented in the past, ” he said.
