Ezeagu constituency honors, HON JUDE UDEFUNA, as he pays tribute to Chief Oliver Ani
The newly inaugurated members of Enugu State House of Assembly representing Ezeagu State Constituency Constituency, Hon Jude Udefuna was Sunday honored with a grand reception at Mgbagbuowa Primary School, Ezeagu Local Government Area, by his constituents
The event which was preceded by a Thanksgiving Service which kicked off with the member representing Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Barrister Cyriacus Sunday Umeha thanking the people of Ezeagu for finding him and Hon Jude Udefuna worthy to represent them both in the State and the national levels.
Umeha enjoined them to pray for both himself and Udefuna to succeed and bring positive change to the local government during their tenure.
In his own address Hon. Udefuna went memory lane to pay a special tribute to the Almighty God for His divine intervention and to his Dear late wife Mrs Jane Chizoba Udefuna (NwanyiManaria) for her outstanding efforts during the campaigns.
He also paid tribute to his Mentor Chief Oliver Ani (Eze Elisiaku) for his advice for him to join Labour Party, though he was not alive to witness the day.
He said that late Ani’s admonition a day before his death that he Should not relent was still very fresh in his mind.
For the People of Ezeagu, Hon Udefuna thanked them for their massive support and promised to heal the old wounds irrespective of party affiliation.
The Special Guest of honor, Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia, Deputy Governorship Candidate of labour Party in his speech thanked the entire Ezeagu people for their commitment to the victory of labour Party in the local government.
He promised to reward the people when labour Party takes over the leadership of the Enugu State.
Many dignitaries witnessed the event such as Sen. Collins Ndu, Members of the State House of Assembly, Chief Jeff Ukeh, Chief Abba Arnold, Barrister Aforkansi.
and many other notable stake holders
The event which witnessed a mammoth crowd that was so escatic about the success of their son
They sang and danced to various cultural displays and live band with shouts of “Onwa “Onwa” renting the air to the admiration of those present at the event.
