
The Chairman of Enyimba International FC of Aba, Kanu Nwankwo, is positive that the club’s partnership with a Norwegian Premier League club, Hakem FC, will promote youth and players development.
Nwankwo made this known to newsmen in Aba on Tuesday.
According to him, the purpose of the partnership is to develop the youths and train the coaches on the modern football methods.
”The team is from Hakem FC Norway premier league club and they are here to partner with us on youths development.
”The team has been in Aba all this while training the youths and taking records of all the activities.
”The most important thing is that they want the players to progress, develop more and the development is going to start from the young ones,” he said.
The chairman noted that the team would also train the coaches, discover and pick good players eventually.
He noted that the team had been assessing Enyimba’s youth teams at the Under 15, 17 and 19 categories.
”Hakem FC want to see how our club are, if we have good structure, a good club to partner with and I believe that we can move forward from there,” he said.
Nwankwo also noted that Enyimba being a big club were not desperate to partner with anybody, rather other clubs needed Enyimba.
”We are special club considering our achievement in national league and continent and the structure we have on ground and if we are not special, Hakem will not have sought for our partnership.
”The People’s Elephant are the biggest club in Africa with the biggest and well known chairman; So Enyimba is attractive to other clubs around the world,” Nwankwo said.
