DR MC GINGER IBENEME HONORED WITH ACHIEVERS AWARD 2023.
The Publisher of Arise Africa Newspaper, organizers of Arise Africa Achievers Award 2023, on Sunday at the Golden Tulip Hotel Owerri paid tribute to Champions whose efforts most time goes unrecognized.
Their Vision, tenacity and hard work is transforming the society into a better place to live.
As in the Arise Africa Life Time Achievers Awardee 2023, Dr Mcginger Nonso Ibeneme, who against all odds led the Campaign of labour Party in Oji River local government area of Enugu State in the just concluded elections in Nigeria and defeated the ruling Party that has been in Power for 24 years.
Dr Nonso in his reaction after receiving the Award said: ” it feels good to be recognized when one is doing something positive or contributing to the improvement of the community.”
According to him: “it’s always a call to do more and be more committed to the improvement of our Community.
“As a Medical Doctor and a Social Justice Advocate, I have been part of many outbreaks like the Ebola, Lassa fever and COVID 19 outbreaks in West Africa.In over two decades of Medical Practice.
” Within these periods I have made my Ccontributions and have attended over 200 medical missions around the globe and ran free three Clinics for indigent Patients.”
Dr Ibeneme further said that as a Social advocate: “I have been part of many struggles such as Subsidy removal, bad government and one of the sponsors of the end SARS Campaign against Police brutality.
“In the last election I was an integral part of the OBIDIENTS Movement and Labour Party and in Enugu State became the Party’s Spokesperson and Chairman of labour Party in Oji River local government area and the labour Party became the dominant Party within three months.”
Going further, Dr Mcginger noted that in Social Consciousness, labour Party Enugu State had been very active as Enugu State and many other States have Suffered because of Poor Leadership without producing any leader to rescue the State but the temerity of the Labour Party Presidential flag bearer Peter Okwute Obi galvanized the People of the State under the leadership of His Excellency Barrister Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga and his Deputy Governorship Candidate Dr John Okechukwu Nwokeabia,
“We came together to say enough is enough and embarked on a new campaign model at the grassroots instead of the estoric elitist Campaign of the ruling Party.
He said: “We kowtowed the Peter Obi approach and we went to the grassroots and they believed in us and Voted massively for Labour Party and we will not take them for granted for their Votes for the Party. “
On a parting note Mcginger said that the Award will push him to do more and ensure that labour Party delivers on their Promise.
