Cross River bye election: Gov. Ayade’s commissioner seeks support for APC candidates
The Cross River State Commissioner for Sustainable Development, Hon. Oliver Orok has called on the electorate to vote massively for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s bye election.
He made the call in Akpabuyo Local Government Area while presenting some financial assistance to the Ward EXCO in the Constituency preparation for the election.
The bye election is scheduled to take place in Akpabuyo State Constituency and Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency of the State.
Orok, who spoke to Journalisrs said, he was convinced that the APC candidates; Mr Jude Ngaji for Ogoja/Yala and Hon. Bassey Effiom for Akpabuyo State Constituency, would win the election.
“I am here to offer some financial assistance to the ward EXCO to help them prepare well for the election.
“What we are asking for is “one man one vote. We want free and credible election. And with this in place, we are surely going to win the election.
“My advice to the electorate is to get their voter cards ready and come out on Saturday to exercise their franchise,” he said.
The commissioner assured the residents of Akpabuyo State Constituency that Effiom would bring dividends of democracy to Akpabuyo if voted on Saturday.
“I am from Akpabuyo and as a member of the present EXCO, I and Effiom in the House of Assembly, will work together to bring dividends of democracy.
