Councillor shot dead in Enugu by unknown persons in his house
The Councillor, representing Eha Ulo ward in Ehalumona Nsukka Local Government Council, Enugu State, Mr Nnachebe Nelson was in the night of Sunday shot dead by unknown persons at his residence in Eha ulo.
A close family source told firstnews that the late councillor was an active youth leader who sticks out his neck to fight criminality in his constituency.
Though, no group has claimed responsibility for the killing of the councillor, the family source said that the Councillor was at home at the weekend for a security meeting with elders of Eha ulo
“He came home for a security meeting by stakeholders and after the meeting he retired to his house before the unknown persons came and shot for several minutes, ” he said.
The police are yet to issue a statement on the counsellors death.
